How to increase the speed of your computer??

1. Stop unknown startup when Microsoft Windows XP starts.

To stop the unwanted startup programs go to start->run
Type msconfig

It will open a window named 'system configuration utility', then go to 'startup' tab and uncheck the unwanted statup programs. Pc ask for a system restart. Restrat your PC

2. Delete temporary files

Go to Start->Run
Just type %temp%, it will open the temp folder, delete all the temporary files.



3. Defragment your hard drive


Right click on any drive, go to properties
Navigate to Tools tab
Click on the option defragment now


4. Turn of indexing servies

Right click on any drive, go to properties
Uncheck the Allow Indexing Service to index this drive for fast file searching

How to use pendrive as a RAM in Microsoft Windows Xp

When a removable memory device such as a USB flash drive or a secure digital (SD) memory card is first inserted into a port, Windows Vista checks to see if its performance is fast enough to work with Windows ReadyBoost. If so, you are asked if you want to use this device to speed up system performance. You can choose to allocate part of a USB drive's memory to speed up performance and use the remainder to store files.




For Microsoft Windows Xp, there is a software called "ReadyBoost". Insert a pen drive or external hard to the usb port. Right click on the usb drive, there will be an option called "ReadyBoost". Click on it, now you can use your usb drive as a RAM.
